Is there a way to bring a webcam type device like a document camera on screen and using the drawing to tools over it, not just a screen grab but a live feed from the camera?

Hi,

There was a widget to do what you want in Open-Sankore, but it has to be updated.

OpenBoard being an open-source project, if you have IT skills, you can propose a new widget that would allow you to visualize the flow of a camera. You can do a pull rquest on https://github.com/OpenBoard-org/OpenBoard/pulls

Hello!

A Document Camera / Webcam - support would be great.

Try to use the "display desktop" mode with your Document Camera Software.

See a exymple on the german Openboard page https://www.openboard.at/2019/09/12/auf ... zeichenen/

Hello

I just discovered OpenBoard and I am very enthusiastic ! Good job !!

I am also very interested by a webcam feature.

I am teaching to deaf people: I need to show/record my explanations in sign langage.

I tested the workaround using the show desktop, but it is less comfortable than using the openboard default output.

We can record easily the voice, and not being able to record sign langage is quite annoying, even ... discriminating.

Thanks a lot

Benoît

I tried another workaround, and it works better !

OBS can record multiple sources, here 1) openboard window and 2) video input (webcam), and mix them
You can resize and place efficiently the camera window among the openboard window.
