I believe the ability to open within a framed window in Mac and Windows is a necessary feature. Enough people are asking for this!

Since I plan on using this with a tablet to record lectures, I have a work around that works for me. I am using Camtasia that I have opened first and set a custom window to record a screen capture. This creates a neon-green frame that show up in OpenBoard. All my visual elements of the lecture will be dragged into the this frame as needed for the lecture.

Thank you so much for showing this link. It is insane to limit an application to fullscreen, because it complicates its usage much more!
People are used to maximizing windows and setting apps to fullscreen. If you are greeted with all your displays disabled and only this app opening in fullscreen mode, it almost feels like a virus...

This is an extremely bad design decision, you should reconsider making the program more usable, @ramuntcho!

There is a pull request on the github. You can download a version compiled that runs on a window.
